Bachelor Degrees in Liberal Arts: Communications
Communications degrees offer students a broad-based education, improving communication skills across vocal, written, and technology mediums. Graduates with bachelor's degrees in communication can go on to work in human resources, advertising, public relations, and other jobs that require strong communication skills.
Communications Careers
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that public relations specialists earned a median salary of $47,350 in 2006, while advertising and promotions managers earned $73,060. No educational program can guarantee a particular career or salary, of course, but the training students receive with a bachelor's degree may be preferred or required by hiring managers.
